Taxing our taxes
The city of Schenectady "proudly announces"... we are now taxing your taxes. I went to pay my taxes at city hall like usual and found out there is now a tax (they're calling it a "convenience fee") on top of the already-high tax rate for those paying by credit card. For my small home, it's now an extra $100/year to pay by credit card.
